So it sounds like no verdict on money laundering (gov't could possibly re-prosecute). Guilty on conspiracy to transmit money, and not guilty on conspiracy to evade sanctions. Happy about 1 and 3. The money transmission charge was inappropriate from the start and the way the legal rulings went down last winter may have doomed the outcome with a jury that can only find facts. This needs to be appealed, and Coin Center will do everything to make sure the judge gets the law right the next time around.

Judge: Let me see it... Deputy: Mr. Foreperson, Count 1, how do you find? Foreperson: Not unanimous. Deputy 2: Count 2? Foreperson: Guilty. Deputy: Count 3, IEEPA? Foreperson: Not guilty.
The verdict on money transmission also emphasizes the very real threat to crypto developers who are just publishing software and websites. If the government can simply claim you are transmitting (even while contradicting the FinCEN guidance from 2019) juries have little to do but convict.
The Storm verdict shows the very real threat faced by developers like @LewellenMichael. Coin Center supports his lawsuit for declaratory judgement on the question of whether devs can be liable for money transmission. Help us get this law right!
Correction: the innercitypress tweet was wrong on count 3. the jury failed to reach a verdict on sanctions so that can be re-prosecuted as well.
