this isn’t a good sign at all. the people one or two layers below the top are usually the most dangerous because they’ve got enough reach to pull levers, but not enough power to feel safe. that’s where grudges will live. stacking those slots with hard left operatives is a recipe for vendettas dressed up as policy.
