Whenever the travel discourse comes up on here, I’ve noticed some people are content just reading about the history/culture/geography of a place, but have no desire to visit. This seems so strange to me. There’s so much world out there and so much depth to it all. Don’t you want to experience more of it? Anyway, travel is good for you and more people should do it. One can start small too. Neighboring towns, state parks, etc. Talking to locals, walking around, learning about a place from direct experience. Remember your impressions. There’s no substitute for learning about the world this way.
