I find I have to increasingly turn to used bookstores for nonfiction that is unlikely to have had recent breakthroughs or legal changes - mathematics, botany, ancient history/archaeology, lower levels of engineering/physics. AI slop has made modern textbooks/articles unreliable

It’s frustrating frontier research & areas with evolving regulations don’t have this safe harbor. AI is quickly making me think credentialed certification will be needed in knowledge texts But then we’re back to the common abuses when credentialism is captured

Dystopia is having learn from high priests parsing the arcane or directly facing an idiot, lying machine god. I hope someone comes up with a fix for this.
