Part 7 of "From 0 Knowledge to Zero Knowledge" is live.
Every Ethereum transaction triggers the same calculation on 800,000+ computers. Not to process it, but to verify that one block proposer did it correctly.
This is how blockchains achieve trustlessness. Unfortunately, it's also wildly inefficient. 🧵
The redundancy exists because there's no authority to trust. Everyone checks everything independently and that's the security model.
But it's also why gas limits exist. Blocks have to stay small enough that ordinary hardware can keep up.
ZK proofs offer a way out. Prove the block was executed correctly once, then let everyone else verify the proof in milliseconds.
The hard part is generating proofs fast enough to keep up with a chain that produces blocks every 12 seconds.
That's real-time proving.
Pico Prism is one of the fastest in the world, proving 99.6% of Ethereum blocks with an average of 6.9s.
We're pushing toward all the Ethereum community's targets and beyond.
