There’s a massive gap right now between companies that understand modern PR…and those that don’t.
The old way: Put out press releases on company letterhead, pay to be featured in puff pieces in business publications, and write bland, corporate-speak content for your company’s social media page.
That playbook just doesn’t work in 2025.
No one cares about press releases. They’re boring.
No one is following your corporate LinkedIn account.
And no one wants to read the “CEO’s thoughts” that are clearly written by someone who doesn’t understand the topic.
Here’s what’s actually working:
Joe calls it CEO Evangelism.
People want to follow the CEO/Founder and get their real thoughts (no one cares about your corporate account anymore). They want the behind the scenes look they can’t get elsewhere.
PR isn’t about pushing your product. It should be about connecting your customer base to information they care about.
The best PR strategies are 1 of 1…There is no “playbook” you can just copy & paste. The solution is hiring someone who can put in the effort to figure out what will actually make people care about your message.
