Many identities.
No privacy compromise.
XMTP lets users link any public DiD, like @ensdomains or @bluesky, social like @farcaster, or just a single device-bound passkey to XMTP.
This means Signal-level security, across any identity, without no privacy compromise.

Agents are getting so much better, quickly

opened a 3x long eth position with stop loss and take profit through chat in the base app

The fact that @BrackyHQ can do this makes me so confident that agents are the future of sports betting not apps. All in a single group chat.
Learning and watching friends while an agent coaches on odds and info in real-time is literally insane.
One emoji 🤝 and 5 different trades happened on @baseapp for free.
Insane.

The single best decision we’ve made at @xmtp_ was to support all of these identities and allow developers to associate as many identities as they want to XMTP.
It’s fully open, unopinionated, and composable.
We support all of these and any other identity you want.

There is an identities situation on Base/Ethereum which I believe is in need of a resolution.
There are at least 4 different naming systems currently:
- farcaster names (@jake)
- base names (jake.base.eth)
- ens names (0fjake.eth)
- zora names (@jake)
The tricky thing about identities is that, well, it’s people’s identities.
If they are accustomed to using their farcaster name on the farcaster social network, for example, and you force them to use an ens name in a different farcaster client, you are literally forcing them to change their identity.
There is perhaps nothing people are more attached to than their identity.
To be clear, no app that i'm aware of is currently doing what I described above. It's just an example intended to illustrate the trickiness of aligning behind a single naming system. But having 3+ popular naming systems also seems unideal and unrealistic.
It would be fine if these were all separate social networks, like X vs. Instagram, but they're not. They're largely intending to build upon each other.
The current situation for the 3 main apps is as follows:
- farcaster (the app) allows for farcaster names or ens names
- base (the app) allows for base names, farcaster names, or ens names
- zora is just zora names
This issue becomes especially important with creator coins, as you probably don't want to have a creator coin attached to your zora name, and another one attached to your farcaster name, your base name, etc.
Would be curious to hear people's thoughts.

llm's are non-deterministic. you can't predict with certainty what they will do time after time. 1 million + messages have been sent to @bankrbot not just by the team, but in public right on the timeline and through the private terminal, and other platforms we support like xmtp and farcaster.
you cannot build an agent that handles money without rigorous testing of all different types of requests and scenarios. we don't just handle single requests we handle entire conversations with multiple participants. we've been building in public since the end of last year. we have a ravenous community of believers behind us helping us build the best transactional crypto agent day in and day out. this is the bankr moat. this is why we win. its $bnkr bish.

This changes everything.
And I’m so here for it.
