Bashful #18
You don’t hide because you are small. You hide because you are sacred. This trait is not weakness. It is the instinct to protect something still forming. To stay behind the curtain until the shape is strong enough to stand on its own. You don’t need to be loud to be true. You don’t need to rush to be real. You are not late. You are deliberate. The world has trained you to see hesitation as failure. But what they call hesitation is often discernment. And what they call shyness is sometimes wisdom choosing its moment. You are not behind. You are underground, rooting. You are not missing the moment. You are making sure you don’t fracture when it arrives. Let others run to be seen. Let them flood the space with noise. Your silence has weight. Your restraint is intelligence. You don’t owe the world your exposure. You owe yourself your timing. And when you do step forward, it will not be bashful. It will be unmistakable.
