You are taught at a very young age Do good in school Go to college Take out loans to get a degree in something that you arent even sure you really wanna do Get a 9-5 Show up early, leave late, so they think you're working hard Enjoy the 2 weeks of vacation a year Never take a sick day Break your back for the company that is just viewing you as a cog in the machine Start a family Buy a house But keep working so you dont get to enjoy any of it Then youre old enough to enjoy it but you're tired, you're sore you're worn down, its harder to enjoy it Luckily tho, you never used those vacation days, cause work was busy You never got to spend as much time with your loved ones cause you had to save for retirement and not take days off Now youre old, with memories of a desk and coffee maker in a cold dead office vs life with the ones that make you smile That's the bullshit.
